Right of Withdrawal

When you buy from Midoricha, you buy at a distance. You therefore have a statutory right of withdrawal: you may withdraw from your order within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason. On this page you can read how the withdrawal period works, which exception applies to sealed food products and how the refund works. The practical steps for returning your order are in our return policy. The statutory model withdrawal form is at the bottom of this page.

14-day withdrawal period

You have a withdrawal period of 14 days. This period starts on the day after you, or someone you have designated (other than the carrier), received the product.

  • Did you order several products in one order and are they delivered separately? Then the withdrawal period starts on the day after you received the last product.
  • Do you have a Subscribe & Save subscription? Then the withdrawal period starts on the day after you received the first delivery.

You do not have to give a reason. It is sufficient that you send your withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Exception: broken seal

Matcha is a food product. We therefore deliver it in sealed packaging. For sealed products that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene, the right of withdrawal lapses once the seal has been broken after delivery (Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code).

In practice this means: you cannot withdraw from or return an opened or unsealed pouch of matcha. You can still withdraw from an unopened pouch with an intact seal.

How to withdraw

  1. Notify us of your withdrawal within the withdrawal period with a clear statement to support@midoricha.com. You may use the model form at the bottom of this page, but this is not mandatory. Include your order number so we can help you faster.
  2. You will receive a confirmation of your withdrawal from us by email.
  3. Return the product within 14 days of your notification to our return address: Tijnmuiden 25, 1046 AK Amsterdam.

Returning and costs

You pay the costs of the return shipment yourself. Return the product unopened, with the seal intact and well packaged. Keep the proof of postage until the refund has been completed.

Refund

After your withdrawal we will refund the purchase amount. If you return your entire order, we will also refund the standard outbound shipping costs. If you return part of your order, we will refund the product price of that part. We will pay within 14 days after we have received the return, or within 14 days after you have shown that you have sent the product back, whichever is earlier. We may withhold the refund until we have received the product or you have shown that you have sent it back.

The refund is made using the same payment method as your order. You will not be charged any costs for this.

Withdrawal with Subscribe & Save

With a subscription, the right of withdrawal applies to the entire subscription agreement. The 14-day withdrawal period starts on the day after you received the first delivery. If you withdraw within that period, the subscription ends completely. The minimum of 2 deliveries does not apply in that case, because the statutory right of withdrawal takes precedence. If you have already received a delivery and it is unopened, return it following the steps above.

Has the withdrawal period expired? Then your subscription runs according to the subscription terms: after 2 deliveries you can cancel at any time via your customer account. The cancellation applies to deliveries that have not yet been processed.

Defective, wrong or damaged deliveries

The right of withdrawal is separate from your statutory rights in the case of a defective product. Did your order arrive defective, wrong or damaged? Email support@midoricha.com. We will replace the product or refund it, at our expense. In that case you also do not pay any return costs. You can read more about this in our return policy.
